Aegror is a metal band from Kerken, Germany - founded in 2009.

The band went through several line-up changes. Some time after the release of the 2nd studio album Dead Man's Diary (on STF-Records), the band was on the verge of breaking up.

Vocalist and founding member Narthaas and guitarist Abyssus decided to continue the band as a project. After a longer break, the band released their 3rd studio album “Reign of Disease” on May 16, 2025, which was produced and published entirely on their own. The titletrack "Reign of Disease" hit the Spotify Top 50 Charts in Iceland (#21, #15) and Estonia (#12).

The name AEGROR comes from the latin language and means disease. In their lyrics, the band deals with various forms of diseases and psychological phenomena, which are bundled into a coherent story full of horror and madness around the character „ Plaguebreeder“. A being from another dimension that wants to force its way into the human world.

On a metaphorical level, the lyrics partly reflect crises, pandemics and events from our real world.
